Fiber artist Cheryl Roberts lives and works in Creston, NC. She hooks rugs and teaches the art of rug hooking at the Florence Thomas Art School in West Jefferson and at the Southeastern Teacher's Workshop in Asheville. She also teaches from her studio in Creston. Roberts also spins and dyes her own yarn and knits shawls, hats, scarves, mittens and an occasional sweater. Roberts joined the Hand's family in July 2012 and has an extensive display inside the gallery. She is a North Carolina regional artist grant winner for 2008 and 2012 for her rug hooking.
