Kirsten Tiedemann.....
Mosaics

Since 1996, Kirsten has enjoyed creating mosaic artwork inspired by the natural beauty of the Appalachian Mountains. Mosaic began as a hobby for Kirsten and turned into something of an obsession! As her home began to burst at the seams with mosaic artwork, friends and family urged her to put her work out there in the world for sale.
Kirsten was thrilled to join Hands Gallery in November 2007. She works with a variety of materials, including stained glass, broken crockery, tiles, rocks, beads, marbles, shells, and just about anything she finds!
In addition to selling her work in Hands Gallery, she has been commissioned to create mosaic artwork in homes and gardens. Walls, furniture, floors, mailboxes, vases, switch plates, & frames are among the various surfaces on which she creates.
Using scraps form a local stained glass artist in addition to broken crockery, Kirsten appreciates the opportunity to create recycled art from accidents and scraps.
Kirsten has also been a massage therapist since 1996. She has owned her own massage therapy practice since 1998. She lives with her partner, Beth, their three dogs and one cat on the New River in beautiful Todd, North Carolina.
