Hands Gallery presents the Pottery of Lucinda & Gerry
Pittman

Hands Gallery, a non-profit crafts co-op celebrating its 29th year, will present the pottery of Lucinda and Gerry Pittman from June 11 through June 24.
Bright colors, whimsical designs and joyous inspirations are the hallmarks of the Pittman’s pottery. Their work, a longtime favorite of Hands Gallery customers and members, is a delight to see ...and use. Much of their work is functional and includes vases, mugs, plates, bowls, soap dispensers and ornaments.
Most unique are their charming teapots. Their bright colors and playful designs make them favorites with her customers.

Lucinda was born in Charlotte. Both her mother and grandmother were artists. She received a BS degree in Art Marketing and Production from ASU in 1980 and moved to Asheville in 1983. Gerry, whose specialty is their teapots, was raised in Alexandria, Virginia. He is also a professional French horn player. They have recently moved to Saluda, NC and are currently living in their studio while they build a log home. They are inspired by their natural surroundings.
Hands Gallery is located at 543 West King St. in downtown Boone. It is open every day from 10 am to 6 pm. Their phone number is (828) 262-1970.
