"The Blue Ridge Mountains, which surround my home with their ever changing moods, have been a continuing source of inspiration to me. Many of my favorite weavings were inspired by the Blue Ridge Mountains near my home in Boone, NC," says Sandy Adair.
"My intention is to create sacred, peaceful places, microcosms one may enter for replenishment. A colorist, I seek to express the ever changing nuances of light and color through subtle blending of fibers, color tones and textures. For me, harmonious use of color, line and texture communicate the balance and sensuousness I experience in the landscape."
